Why should you take notary or title insurance classes from me?

I've worked for many years as a real estate and title insurance attorney. I still work full-time as the Maryland underwriter for a national title insurance company.  In my job, I provide advice every day to Maryland title insurance companies about how to do business in Maryland.  I'm also a state-authorized instructor of new and renewing Maryland notary public students.   

Maryland title insurance companies perform real estate settlements, which are also called "closings". Many documents in every settlement must be acknowledged by a notary.  I train settlement officers how to perform real estate settlements, and have been doing this for many years!

You should know that state-required Maryland notary and title insurance examinations are primarily centered around some very specific laws and regulations.  For example:

- Maryland notary training requires a thorough knowledge of RULONA, which is short for "Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts".  Maryland has used its own version this law since October 1, 2020.

- Maryland title insurance training requires students to have a broad understanding of Maryland real estate laws, title insurance laws, and federal laws affecting the real estate industry.

- Even renewing Maryland notaries should get up to speed on recent changes in Maryland law regarding electronic and remote online notarizations, to maximize their notary skills and income!

I realize there are other Maryland notary and title insurance schools.  Some are based in Maryland, and some are not.  Some charge a lot more than I do, and some charge a small bit less.
